I've been coming here on and off for about a year now. The place had been bought right after I started going and the new owners really freshened the place up. They repainted and redecorated the walls, it looks great! The service is fantastic. The owners are extremely kind and will often chat with diners. The food is inexpensive, well portioned, and EXTREMELY delicious. Anytime I'm in the mood for breakfast food this is where I go.

Love this little diner gem! The food was fresh, hot and generously portioned! Loved the biscuit I had the Philly steak omelet with home fries but they offer choice of hash browns or grits! At the end of the meal we received a warm chocolate chip cookie The servers were very attentive and friendly. I highly recommend yoo check it out!!

Looking for a good breakfast/brunch on game day, and this came up pretty well rated. Like others have posted, it's a small, family type establishment. Very welcoming, even the other customers were super friendly.
We both got the basic breakfast, eggs, grits, bacon, sausage and a pancake. Everything came out quick and cooked well, there was one little hiccup, but it's fine.
Watching them cook in front of us was great. You can tell they work well together and are good at their jobs.
The line out front never really stopped, but not overwhelming, regulars stopped in, ordering "the usual" to go.
The young man in charge of the counter did great and was very friendly. I would definitely recommend it. We will be back

Excellent place. Went at opening time and was met with friendly service, good coffee and a great omelette. Nice local feel to it and set me up for a day's birding on the prairie.

The diner is small but I get it. We went early in the morning and it wasn't crowded. The food was delivered promptly and piping hot. A little salt and pepper was needed. It was a great experience with my little one. The day was gloomy and cold outside but the food was comforting. I will say it got smokey inside from the grill but they remedied that by opening the window above the door.

This is a wonderful little diner that is tucked away in a little plaza and well-worth hunting down. A waitress took our drink order shortly after sitting down, gave us adequate time to review the menu, and kept our coffee mugs filled. There were 6 if us and were well attended to. I got the biscuits & gravy - they were delicious. The gravy was a little spicy, but I liked the little zing of flavor. The grits were good too. The others I went with either got breakfast sandwiches or a classic plate - they all enjoyed their food too. A place that does a good homestyle breakfast is hard to find and this little diner is now on my list of places to go.

They're under new ownership, but they haven't changed the menu. My chicken wrap was cooked to perfection. The tortilla was light, and the chicken was crispy and juicy. The owner and his wife were genuinely interested in making sure everyone was taken care of and enjoying the food. They may add a few new items soon, but for now, it's still the same great food and service as always.

Put a fried egg on my chocolate chip pancake and call me done! - Other places get all the credit, but this place is legit. I've been so many times, I almost hate to write this review because you'll read it and then you'll... read more go. And then I'll have to wait for a seat. Which is one of the best things about this place (other than the NAILEDIT! food). There is almost always room for you. At the bar. Next to the action. With coffee rightthere. Y'all. The cooks are so good. Fast. Efficient. Make a mean whatever you want. They don't care if it's on the menu or not. If they have the stuff, they can do it up right for you. It's always the same two guys, every time I go. And they don't play.
So, pick anything on the menu and love it. And then don't tell the others. 🙂
December 11, 2018Great Food, Great Service. - I have passed this little diner many times and always wanted to stop in but wasn't the right time. I made a point to visit there. I was recognized and... read more greeted as soon as I walked in. I took a look at the menu and selected the Patty Melt and added some onion rings. I have to say, it was the best patty melt I'd had in long while. The onion rings were cooked perfectly. They were crunchy and stayed together while I ate them, which is something restaurants seem to have a problem with. The server was attentive and courteous. I will visit this establishment again.
February 28, 2018Small Place in a small strip just off Main Street - It's only open until 3pm, so it is just for breakfast and lunch, but great variety and good quality of food. You can watch the grill master make your food... read more if you sit at the counter, or there are about 10 tables. It is very clean and Mom and Pop style. Obvious breakfast choices, burgers and sandwich platters mostly, but with a few special items you wouldn't expect. No fuss good lunch spot.

Hidden Gem - Heard about this place from a friend. We were in Gainesville so we decided to stop in. WOW! It's a diner....a small "hole in the wall" but be prepared to... read more be surprised. There were 4 of us and we each had something different. Burgers were great, club sandwich was very good and since it was an early lunch (and breakfast is served all day (7a-2p) one in our party had sausage gravy and biscuits.......homemade sausage gravy NOT out of a can....delish. Even the tea and coffee are well above average. Fries and Onion rings were fabulous as well. You must try this place.
February 18, 2016Super ! - Third visit and it just keeps impressing us! Food and service is superb but don't be deterred if it's packed. It's a small place but this is top notch diner... read more food. Place is clean as a whistle and everything on menu is great...even the tea and coffee is top shelf. You won't be disappointed. We live a few hours south of Gainesville but now plan our trip around being able to hop off I-75 for a wonderful breakfast or lunch.
May 6, 2017Working man's Diner - When I served in the Navy, I frequented many diners. In fact our slang expression was 'greasy spoons'. I ordered a classic club, it had generous amounts of turkey and... read more bacon, piled high and it was a double decker. I ordered fried okra as my side dish and sweet tea as my beverage. I wasn't disappointed, and as I looked around I found most customers were working class people. It's simple inside, tables, plastic ware, and paper napkins. Excellent service, clean. My club, beverages, and side came to $10 including tax.
