Classic diner! Went in for breakfast after a hike while visiting Gainesville and loved seeing they had the long old school counter plus a row of tables (also, it was very clean). The breakfasts were generous and everything was cooked to order, reasonably priced, and tasty. The staff were friendly with all the customers and they had a busy take out service going, so the locals must already know about this gem of a hole in the wall In an unassuming shopping center.

Love this little diner gem! The food was fresh, hot and generously portioned! Loved the biscuit I had the Philly steak omelet with home fries but they offer choice of hash browns or grits! At the end of the meal we received a warm chocolate chip cookie The servers were very attentive and friendly. I highly recommend yoo check it out!!

Nice little diner! We needed a quickly lunch stop and popped in....had a cheeseburger with fries and a grilled cheese with coleslaw and a coke. The fries they served that day were like the mix between a steak fry-potato wedge-curly fry! Food was good and everyone working there was courteous. The only part of the experience that I had a little trouble with was that the place definitely has a heavy griddle/frying smell.

A little hole in the wall diner with great southern hospitality. Our waitress was great and attentive, very kind and I loved how she told her guests to have a blessed day. The food was amazing!! We sat at the counter and watched them cook everyone's order. Every Single Thing looked amazing coming off the line. I got bills special and wow. I ended up getting an order of crispy bacon on the side because it looked so good getting cooked and I'm not a big bacon fan. I'll go back just for the bacon. Coffee tasted good. My husband got the BLT and he said it's one of the best ones he's ever had. Check was 25$ for the both of us including to go drinks. Will be going back for sure!

Hidden diner in Gainesville! Great family style meals! Large portions, delicious, and great price! They are open 7 days a week and the service is quick and efficient! I had the classic breakfast with scrambled eggs, hash browns, and nettles sausage with a biscuit not pictured. Everything was delicious! It was all gone. The biscuit was fluffy and fantastic! If you love breakfast or lunch definitely give them a try!

Excellent place. Went at opening time and was met with friendly service, good coffee and a great omelette. Nice local feel to it and set me up for a day's birding on the prairie.

The diner is small but I get it. We went early in the morning and it wasn't crowded. The food was delivered promptly and piping hot. A little salt and pepper was needed. It was a great experience with my little one. The day was gloomy and cold outside but the food was comforting. I will say it got smokey inside from the grill but they remedied that by opening the window above the door.

This is a wonderful little diner that is tucked away in a little plaza and well-worth hunting down. A waitress took our drink order shortly after sitting down, gave us adequate time to review the menu, and kept our coffee mugs filled. There were 6 if us and were well attended to. I got the biscuits & gravy - they were delicious. The gravy was a little spicy, but I liked the little zing of flavor. The grits were good too. The others I went with either got breakfast sandwiches or a classic plate - they all enjoyed their food too. A place that does a good homestyle breakfast is hard to find and this little diner is now on my list of places to go.

They're under new ownership, but they haven't changed the menu. My chicken wrap was cooked to perfection. The tortilla was light, and the chicken was crispy and juicy. The owner and his wife were genuinely interested in making sure everyone was taken care of and enjoying the food. They may add a few new items soon, but for now, it's still the same great food and service as always.

Small Place in a small strip just off Main Street - It's only open until 3pm, so it is just for breakfast and lunch, but great variety and good quality of food. You can watch the grill master make your food... read more if you sit at the counter, or there are about 10 tables. It is very clean and Mom and Pop style. Obvious breakfast choices, burgers and sandwich platters mostly, but with a few special items you wouldn't expect. No fuss good lunch spot.

Hidden Gem - Heard about this place from a friend. We were in Gainesville so we decided to stop in. WOW! It's a diner....a small "hole in the wall" but be prepared to... read more be surprised. There were 4 of us and we each had something different. Burgers were great, club sandwich was very good and since it was an early lunch (and breakfast is served all day (7a-2p) one in our party had sausage gravy and biscuits.......homemade sausage gravy NOT out of a can....delish. Even the tea and coffee are well above average. Fries and Onion rings were fabulous as well. You must try this place.

February 18, 2016Working man's Diner - When I served in the Navy, I frequented many diners. In fact our slang expression was 'greasy spoons'. I ordered a classic club, it had generous amounts of turkey and... read more bacon, piled high and it was a double decker. I ordered fried okra as my side dish and sweet tea as my beverage. I wasn't disappointed, and as I looked around I found most customers were working class people. It's simple inside, tables, plastic ware, and paper napkins. Excellent service, clean. My club, beverages, and side came to $10 including tax.
